A new spot to eat in Riga has opened its doors since January 16th called Stock Pot and the first impression was extremely promising to say the least.
I was recommended to try out this new space by friends, as well as the Muffins & More crew across the street and thought with some time to spare and an empty stomach I would see what was on offer. I was greeted with a good smell a varied but not over the top range on the menu and a sense of people coming and going, always a good sign.
I ordered a half portion of Chicken Thai Curry, which came with rice and for the price and flavour, I was certainly surprised. A great lunch time treat for less than 2 lvl! I can only say that for sure, when I am hungry and passing by, I will be poking my nose in to see what is on the ever changing menu.
I met the owners briefly and asked them to say a little about themselves
‘ The team is just me Richard and my wife Linda (for now as 16 hour days cannot last for ever). We are both “foodies” and believe that good food should be interesting, affordable, mostly healthy and with as few chemicals and preservatives as possible.
Our menu is updated at least once every week or two, and sometimes changes daily. We try and keep our website up to date as possible, the English is nearly always updated the same day, the Latvian part sometimes with the changes in English for a while.’
I hope that some of you will take the chance to try this out soon. For more info check out http://www.stockpot.lv/
