3 Chefs Restaurant
One of the leading participants in Riga’s food revolution, this creative restaurant has become a staple of the Riga dining scene since it open its doors in 2011. Challenging the traditional ideas of food preparation and presentation, 3 Pavāri has set the standard for contemporary cuisine in Riga.
Three prominent young Latvian chefs are the minds behind the restaurant, hence the name. Having made their names at various restaurants around the city and abroad, they now have a number of locations in Riga, and regularly pop up on Latvian TV, like our local Jamie Olivers. The 3 Chefs is open every day for lunch and dinner.
Entrees come served on paper, like Jackson Pollock inspired artworks. Mains come on slabs of granite. The kitchen is open and the best seats are at the bar around it where you can watch the masters at work or chat to them if they are feeling amicable.
Food is prepared using the sous-vide or vacuum cooking method and the ingredients are local and seasonal. The regularly changing menu that doesn’t appear to exist outside the chefs’ heads. Eating at the 3 Chefs is a truly unique dining experience and one worth trying while you are in Riga.
